Recognized worldwide for his success and charisma, Michael Jackson has earned many tributes after his death. And the Japanese community also will not be out, thanks to manga teacher Fabio Shin which is preparing a manga version to tell the life and artistic career of Michael Jackson.
Fabio Shin noted that the idea of making a manga of Michael Jackson was structured to commemorate his return to the stages and the alleged creation of the new CD, but due to his death, the plot was changed.
In addition to a biographical story, the project explores the best in the manga style, such as exposure of the human aspects of character, the feelings, dreams, nightmares, internal conflicts and fantasies.
This is possible because all artists involved in this project are fans of the artist: the script is in charge of Ledo Vieira, a scholar's life and career of the artist and the organizers of the largest forum of Michael Jackson performed in
"All involved in this project, including myself, are fans of Michael Jackson and we are extremely upset at his sudden death, and found that the production of a mangá is the best way to honor the artist that influenced an entire generation of people and me, particularly. Your songs always give me strength to fight for my wishes and many times I often mirror in his attitudes to make personal decisions." Fabio Shin revealed that during the research to the manga, he discovered that Michael was a big fan of Japanese culture, especially anime and mangá and even risked some sketches.
The plot has a breathtaking manga-format book with over 180 pages and is expected to launch by SEOMAN publisher in 2010. The drawings will be signed by Fabio Shin and Rafael Kirschner and the scripts of Ledo Vieira. The team of Manga Studio Japan Sunset which owns Fabio Shin, will be also involved in the production of the book.
"I was always a fan of Michael and in the course of my career I received several calls from publishers to publish manga books, but never found a script that I liked. Earlier this year I was invited by the publisher SEOMAN to participate in a project of biographies in Japanese comics and I loved the project and the professionalism of the publisher. Soon after I was knowing that Michael Jackson would return to the stages and I found a great opportunity to join the two things I like: the art of Manga and the work of Michael. Thinking about it, I asked my great friend Ledo Vieira that in 1996 helped me to build my current school, Japan Sunset, and I invited him to write the script of this project. We started to write and produce the manga with ease and anonymity, we wanted to launch that in the middle of his tour in
"Initially I thought to stop the project because the news of his death affected all of the production and we were totally without action and sad, because everyone involved in this project are fans of him. But after a week of mourning for the whole team, we decided to resume the production of the manga, as a tribute to this great artist.
"I want to make clear that no one wants to start now to exploit the death of the King of Pop to make money, because we've been doing the manga even before this unfortunate coincidence. This manga is produced with great respect to him and all his fans. "
"I believe that this work will open more to the domestic market and show that
